Description: Italian sainfoin or sulla, a leguminous plant belonging to the hedysarum group, grows wild in almost all of the Mediterranean countries but Italy is the only country where it is cultivated – it is harvested in July. This crystallised honey has a waxy, ice-white colour and a very subtle but clearly floral scent. The flavour is sweetly delicate and not at all sickly. Thanks to its particular composition of high quality fructose and abundant minerals (magnesium, copper, zinc, iron, manganese) this honey is perfect for athletes or those with an active lifestyle.
